3D Pac Man
this is my project for the 3rd day of photoshop... The pac man ghosts i found on the internet had their eyes facing the wrong way so i had to change the eyes. the effects behind the ghosts were part of some brushes that i got off of a website.

Space
These are what i made on illustrator for my project. I really liked this project because we got to do whatever we wanted and we didnt need to watch any tutorials for it. I used the same earth that i created for both images. The second picture i decided to make the planets in the same order from the sun in real life.

magazine project
here is the magazine that i made for my barbie project character. i created the character in a previous project where i combined adam sandler and the cartoon stewie from the show family guy. I put the character on the cover of my magazine and called it family guy magazine. After adding the title, i added a barcode and a square for scaning with your phone. then i found pictures of the characters from family guy, edited them, and then added them to the cover so that my character had a better background. the house in the back is a picture of the house that the characters live in.

Stewie and Adam Sandler
Here is my creation for the Barbie Project. It is a combination of the character Stewie from the show Family Guy and Adam Sandler. We were supposed to create a mixture of a cartoon and a famous actor. This was a part of the retouching unit because we were learning about how if a barbie was a real sized person then she would be very messed up. Our assignment was to create a celebrity who was altered to look like a cartoon character that has strange proportions just like barbie.

Retouching
Before this unit, i knew that most magazine photos were retouched but i had no idea that they were changed so much. Before, i thought that the pictures were just brightened up to make them shine more but i realized that it is much more. I think that now that i have done some retouching, i realize how much different a magazine picture looks before and after photoshop. Retouching artists do a lot of work on each picture and i think that they do most of the stuff that i did to this picture and probably a lot more. What i did to this picture is removing freckles and blemishes, smoothening and softening out the skin and i also changed the eye color and saturation.

Newimals
These are my new animals that i made. the guard dog bear was easy but turned out well. the parrot fish was harder to make because it was more complex and i had to make more layers. i did not put a background for that one because it was harder to see when i added one. the dog bear didnt have as many colors so i put a background for it.

Pear Reflection
This is my image for the shiny bannana project. instead of a bannana i used a pear and made that reflect off of the shiny surface. to create this effect i duplicated the layer, flipped it and then used the gradient tool.

Xray project
This is the photo i made for my xray project. i chose to do the xray on my shoulder and i put an axe coming out of it. i had to make two versions of the axe so that i could invert the one that is in the xray. this makes it look more real because you can see the inverted and the non inverted versions of the object.

Colorful Guitar
This is the image that i made for the colorize project. instead of a dancer or something like that, i chose a guitar and blended a bunch of colors onto it
this is the photo that i created for the cartoon project. the cartoon that i used was Spongebob because i know that a lot of people like that show and watched it when they were younger. each object in the photo was from a separate picture that i put into one using layers. in this picture, my hands are overlapping with the pizza and squidward is overlapping with his house.

The two drawings that I have decided to do for my optional posts are the Shoe Drawing and the Escher Drawing.
The top picture is of my shoe drawing. We drew these from looking at our actual shoes as a model. We created depth in the drawing with our shading and value, as well as making the closer shoe on top of the further one. By drawing the back shoe lighter, it creates the appearance of the first shoe being in front.
My second picture is of the MC Escher inspired drawing. This peice uses three point perspective to make the building appear as if it is coming up from the earth. The three point perspective causes the building to taper as it gets further away from you. We extended the paper with extra sheets so that the perspective would look more realisitic.
Acrylic Landscape
The Painting that i made has several layers of composition. The layers are the background, middleground, foreground and the sky. Aptmospheric perspective was used in the mountains. With this technique, you can see the shade of the mountains lower in intensity as they go back. I added in a light source by shading sides of the mountains and giving the umberella a shadow. I used a variety of brush strokes also. For the sky i used dabbing on the clouds and horizantal strokes on the blue parts. I used curved brush strokes on the sand. I also did this for the water. I used value on the sides of the mountains, which is what allowed me to make a light source coming from the right side.
Ceramics Project
The Medium that we used to make our ceramics was white clay. This project is about a foot in diameter. I stressed the design elements of sharp edges and points in the project. I used hump molding by draping the project on a large bowl during construction. The peice was made to hold larger objects. We created our designs first on paper and i learned what a radial design was. If i were to change anything about this project i would have made more on my radial design.
Pastel Still Life
I planed the composition of this peice by drawing a thumbnail sketch. That is when you set up the objects for your still life and then make a quick sketch of the layout to see how it looks. A veiwfinder helped me decide the angle and orientation that i wanted to make my peice in. I also made the objects look three dimensional by giving them depth and shading as well as a light source. The light source was created by adding shadows and shading that all goes in the same direction.
